| “I couldn’t play a guitar, so photographing bands seemed the nearest thing I could get to a rock ‘n’ roll life style at 17”. Having printed up a few photographs, I sent them into the then editor of the NME and by return post I received a press pass for the punk band Stiff Little Fingers. And thus began my career as a photographer. Art college beckoned and then a spell as an illustrator for a few years before the lack of daylight/fresh air and a desire to return to my first love of photography. Worked as a assistant during the early 90’s to a number of photographers in London & New York before making my home in Edinburgh. These days I now divide my time between London and rural Perthshire. |
